Statement of Commitment

The Whitman “Adopt-A-Street Program” is a volunteer based program to help initiate a clean, safe and attractive community.

By working together we can continue to provide a beautiful clean environment in which to live and raise a family.

The program also educates and encourages people to stop littering and take pride in their community.

Who can participate?

Any individual, group or local company willing to make the commitment can adopt a street, portion of a street, park or public area. Volunteers from civic organizations, social clubs, neighborhood associations, individual families, churches, school groups, private employers and employer’s groups are encouraged to participate.
